South Luangwa is one of the finest national parks on the continent, known for its high concentrations of leopard, puku, waterbuck, and impala. Flatdogs is one of the most easily accessible lodges in the park, very close to the Mfuwe Main Gate, and thus a fantastic gateway into this iconic park. Its accessibility also makes it one of the better camps for families.
Why choose Jackalberry Tree House:
- The top-rated camp in the South Luangwa on Tripadvisor, with emphasis on excellent personal service
- Beautiful views across the wildlife-populated lagoon, from comfortable and plush elevated rooms
- Easily accessed from the main gate, making transport convenient
Staying at Jackalberry Tree House:
The camp has three decks, with stairways connecting the spacious bedrooms and living area. Note that because the bedrooms don’t have roofs, the camp is only open from the 5th of April to the 15th of November each year (dry season).
The camp’s two bedrooms consist of a queen-size bed and twins (convertible to king-size) respectively, and groups of 4 will be provided with a private safari vehicle and guide for the duration of their stay.
The seclusion of the tree house means that a vehicle will transport guests to the main camp and back whenever required. The camp is ideal for couples and honeymooners, and its atmospheric open-air, net-draped bedroom lends itself to being a prime honeymoon lodge destination.
This is a camp perfect for travelers who seek immersion in their natural surroundings, with its open bedrooms and seclusion.
