The Suites
Six luxury suites comprise the majority of AM Lodge’s accommodation options. Each is uniquely decorated in a way that combines traditional building techniques such as thatched roofing with modern furnishings. Two superior suites are 250 m2 and also come with access to their own private plunge pools.
The secluded AM Villa is a few minutes’ drive from the main lodge. Accommodating six guests in three ensuite bedrooms – making it ideal for families – the villa comes with its own private chef, butler, vehicle, and lounge and dining areas that look out over the Klaserie Dam.
Public Areas
Should you ever tire of gazing out over the still bushveld, the outdoor swimming pool provides somewhere to enjoy the birdsong and rustle of leaves before sampling the excellent food served at the restaurant. Perhaps the crowning glory of AM Lodge, however, is its spa treatment rooms, which have been named the most luxurious safari spa by the World Luxury Spa awards. Set away from the main lodge for privacy, guests are assured an unbeatably serene treatment experience.
Safari experience
Flanking Greater Kruger National Park, one of the world’s finest safari destinations, almost guarantees incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, while the lodge’s conservancy offers a more private experience than can be had elsewhere. With 20 million hectares dedicated to wildlife conservation, not only can guests relish the thrill of spotting the Big Five of lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino, but also an incredible array of Africa’s endemic species.
Activities
Custom safari itineraries, together with a team of expert trackers and rangers, makes even the ‘standard’ game drives in the well-maintained open-topped all-terrain vehicles memorable. Night drives, conducted with the aid of strong flashlights for spotting lion and leopard, are also highly rewarding. This is also the time to enjoy the spectacular night skies by star gazing, while for added excitement, make sure you reserve some daylight hours to follow a ranger out into the bush on foot.
