Blue Zebra sits on the Mozambican side of Lake Malawi. This is one of the few properties on the lake that face west, allowing you to see beautiful sunsets over the lake. The lodge provides guests with a rustic atmosphere but is also very luxurious. The lodge’s entire layout has been designed to bring you as close to nature as possible, with all the creature comforts you might enjoy. A truly wonderful and rare feature about the lodge is its isolation: There are no roads, phones, clubs, bars or people around for miles, making sure you actually switch off and relax in the real wilderness.

Staying at Blue Zebra:

There are only 6 chalets at Blue Zebra, so your stay will be very private and intimate. The chalets are well spaced from each other and are almost hidden in between the trees. The chalets and lodge have been designed to bring natural elements of rock and wood into the living spaces. This ensures minimal impact on the environment and also gives guests a more authentic beach paradise.

A special treat is to head over to Likoma Island by boat to visit the historic St Peter’s Cathedral which was built over 100 years ago. The island remains part of  Malawi despite being on the Mozambique side of the lake.
