Accommodation

Standard double rooms are situated within the Hohenort Manor House, where they are of a traditional Edwardian style, and the Cellars Main House, where the neutrally-painted furniture provides a more contemporary feel.

Suites are also individually-styled, with a large amount of floor space, and walk-in closet. The eight Premier Suites are even more generous in size, and boast either small private gardens or expansive views over the grounds, in addition to a kitchenette. Last but certainly not least, Cellars-Hohenort offers accommodation in two two-story villas which are a fantastic home away from home for families or small groups.

Public Areas

Centred around the Cellars-Hohenort’s exterior spaces, the expansive gardens offer a wonderful place in which to relax. Two salt-chlorinated and sun-heated pools are carefully situated, with the larger Hohenort pool served by the Conservatory kitchen for poolside food and drink, while the Cellars pool offers a more private space within a walled garden. A gym includes the latest fitness equipment, and a spa offers a selection of signature treatments, while tennis equipment and mountain bikes are available to guests.

Activities

While the Conservatory restaurant has an eclectic menu of simple food served well, the Greenhouse specialises in using local South African ingredients in its innovative ‘African hunter’ tasting menu and has been listed as one of the country’s top restaurants on no less than seven different occasions. Guests can also take the Classic High Tea in the Sun Lounge come afternoon, or enjoy a laid-back drink in one of the Cellar-Hohenorts two stylish bars.
