The lodge’s public areas are beautifully decorated and spacious. The main lodge incorporates a large lounge, dining room, and a lovely pool area. The pool area is perfect for relaxing and sipping drinks between game drives. With enough space to relax in the lounge area with a good book, there is no reason not to take time off to soak up the inspirational beauty of the natural surrounds of Kapama Southern Camp.
Dinner is usually served at the lodge’s boma where guests can enjoy an open-air dining experience, sampling some traditional South African food. Private bush dinners are also on offer and make for a romantic couples activity.
Safari At Kapama Southern Camp
There is a vast selection of activities to experience when visiting Kapama Southern Camp. Evening drives include soft drinks and alcoholic beverages to enjoy at sundown.
For the more adventurous and active travelers who wish to ‘get up close,’ guided bush walks and hikes are excellent options. Have your eyes peeled and senses alert for sounds of wildlife that will fill the air. On that note, take the chance to elevate yourself above the treetops and take a hot air balloon ride over the Kapama Game Reserve. Balloon rides are an excellent opportunity to appreciate the expanse and uniqueness of the African bushveld from above.
For those travelers who wish to get up close to elephants, Kapama Southern Camp offers supervised elephant interactions, where you can experience these gentle giants up close. The lodge has a conservation levy of R114 per person per night; this goes toward supporting the anti-poaching units and conservation efforts in the reserve.
