Majeka House is a beautiful, private boutique hotel, owned by Karine and Lloyd van der Merwe, nestled in the heart of Cape Town’s Winelands. The large central pool with a retractable glass roof is a favorite with guests, as it allows year-round swimming.

The Premier Rooms are well-appointed, luxurious and spacious, and offer the perfect balance of luxury and value for money at Majeka House. The Superior Suites are larger than the Premier Rooms, and look out onto the private pool. The Pool Suites, which are two ultra-luxurious suites only opened in December 2010, and share a private pool, while The Villa, Majeka House’s premium luxury accommodation has three bedrooms, lounge dining room, fully-equipped kitchen, and a private pool.

It is a short 10-minute drive to get into the town of Stellenbosch itself. To explore the wine regions afar, take a 30-minute drive over the spectacular Helshoogte Pass, adorned by mountains on either side, to the quaint little French town of Franschhoek, another jewel of South Africa’s cuisine and wine industry.
Spend a lazy day touring the wine estates and sipping world-class wine to walking the streets of the crafty, town center. A 45-minute scenic drive will lead you to Cape Town city center, to enjoy and visit some of the famous attractions including Table Mountain, the 360-degree rotating Cable Car, Clifton, and Camps Bay beaches, Cape Point and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
