Luxuriously comfortable bedrooms, Victorian claw baths, rainfall showers, a wine cellar, and fantastic dining make this one of the most affluent spots on the Crater to experience a safari in Tanzania. The Crater hosts around 20 000 animals, meaning that game viewing here is truly exceptional.
Why choose the Manor:
- Intimate and private
- 5-star hotel comforts
- Great for both families and couples
Staying at the Manor:
The Manor is made up of the main manor house and 10 Cape Dutch style cottages (totaling 20 suites), each making as much use of the hill views as possible. Each suite has a private entrance and sun terrace, and the interiors are luxurious and traditional Cape Dutch. Cozy fireplaces provide warmth in the cool Serengeti evenings.
Stable Cottage is located near the riding stables and has a courtyard and dining area for meals. This cottage also has a family lounge area and the 2nd floor comprises a twin room for kids, with a ‘Toddler’s Bathroom’ and a playroom with satellite TV. The Manor’s unique family suite means that families with small kids are slightly removed from the Manor Cottages, making this lodge perfect for both families and couples.
A library, bar, and entertainment center in the main house provide further diversions, when not enjoying game drives. Horseback riding and mountain biking are also on offer, both adventurous ways to explore the landscape. Daily sundowner cocktails are a fantastic way to end each day, and there are also massage therapists available. The Manor is the real luxury in the African wilderness.
