About the lodge
The lodge is made up of only 12 chalets, which are all close to the beach and very private. The lodge and chalets are built from natural materials, so you really feel as if you have walked into Robinson Crusoe’s secret world. A wonderful feature about Thonga Beach Lodge is that it has struck a really great balance between a rustic getaway and luxury accommodation.
Activities
There are many great activities on offer, but snorkeling and scuba diving stand out as some of the favorites. Guests may also swim with dolphins or whale sharks at times, or go for a snorkel with manta rays and giant turtles. November to February is turtle season, so guest are invited to track them with the trained staff. Guests can also explore parts of Sibiya lake by guided kayak, and perhaps even get a chance of spotting hippo and crocodile.
