South Luangwa is one of Africa’s top big game destinations, with very dense populations of both leopard and lion. Night drives are particularly successful in spotting the big cats as this is the time they are most active. Other animals guest may see include the unique Thornicroft’s giraffe, Cookson’s wildebeest, big herds of elephant and buffalo, hippos, crocodile, zebra, warthog, monkey, baboon and antelope.

Time + Tide Mchenja Camp has five tented chalets, ensuring the camp is exclusive and private. Each chalet features an en-suite bath, outdoor shower. Each octagonal tent is nestled under a thatch roof and has a deck overlooking the Luangwa River.

Dining:
The camp serves breakfast early before morning excursions. Breakfast includes selection cereals, porridge, homemade flapjacks, and biscuits as well as toast along with tea, coffee, and fruit juice. A delicious brunch is served upon return to the camp, and consist of a buffet with hot and cold choices. Dinner is typically served after the evening game drive and consists of a 3-course meal.
